In the last
week of December or the first week of January demonstrations have been held
yearly since 1954. The aim of these demonstrations is the revival of playing.
The location will change every year: a yard of a farmhouse, a place near a
pub large enough to accommodate the audience. An overall
classification per group and an individual classification will be drawn up. A
jury with special members will listen to each player. The members
of the jury are appointed by the board of the Foundation, heard by the
Advisory Board. In 2006/2007 the Saasfeld community won
the silver horn. It was a very close finish. The communities of Enschede and
De Lutte just missed the title of best players. Jozef Kolmschot (Saasveld) was the best
individual player. The next contest will be held end of
December 2007 |
