This is a story about the midwinterhoorn. A midwinterhoorn is an instrument, used in
the eastern part of People play
it between the first Sunday of Advent and Epiphany. During the
advent period you can hear the horn frequently. Every village has its own
group. You will hear the melancholy sound of the horn in many places! From the end
of November onwards a program is available on this site: you can see when and
where the players will demonstrate the melody. This program is only available
in Dutch. Click on Events to see it. |
