Some old pictures, made just before WW2.
It’s wintertime. Mr, Bartels, left en right) and mr. Meenhuis (middle) are
playing the horn near the well of the farmhouse. Playing near the well was
necessary, because the horn was a wet one. So it was heavy. It is for sure
that the farmers made their own horns! (see next page). |
