In 1999 most
of the groups of players in Twente were united in The Foundation
Midwinterhoornblazen Twenthe. The
foremen of the communities are members of an advisory board, The
board will have a meeting twice a year and will discuss important questions
such as the rules of the demonstrations and the criteria for horns or tradition. The
foundation is a continuation of the “Kemissie veur ’t
mirreweenterhoornbloazen”. That was a committee for the promotion of playing
the horn and for organizing demonstrations. The meetings of this committee
were famous: there were a lot of discussions on traditions, criteria and
regulations of the demonstrations. The aim
of the Foundation is: o
Preservation and promoting of playing the Midwinterhorn in the region
of Twente and the border region. o
Passing on the knowledge of playing the horn to new generations. They put the
mission into effect by organizing demonstrations, meetings, lectures and other
activities during the Advent. Adress of the
